A homerecorded DIY mishmash of old tracks (recorded between 1999 and 2005), quiet songs, homerecorded weirdo pop instrumentals, noisy stuff, little redundant experiments, lo-fi nonsense, kitch, guitars, samples, electronica etc.: leftovers galore! A loose collection of B-sides without A-sides... 5 totally non-cohesive 4-track ep's thrown on one disc without much thinking or reason... that's 'a simple guide'! brunk is Bert Vanden Berghe, DIY lowbudget homerecording, without any musical restrictions or stylistic premises. The songs on 'sept 2003' were made somewhere between 2000 and september 2003. It's not easy to describe or to pigeonhole, but I guess the music brunk recorded in those days had a certain pop kitsch factor, a naïeve but eclectic touch, and tries to explore some musical boundaries in a very personal way. There are some hints and twists that point in the direction of the more...

The story of how our band came into being is very simple: It all began at a Saturday night live music party in october 2004. It was at that party that I happened to see Samuele again. We hadn't seen each other for a long time. We started to discuss music over a couple of beers and before the party was over we had already made up our minds to form a new band. We weren't long in finding the proper bass-player for the band either. Fabio's an old friend of ours and when we asked him if he would...

This year, Gorowski spins out his sixth studio album on WM Recordings, “I Believe Me Now”.  This is a play on words from his early release back in 2006 (“I Don’t Believe Me”). Gorowski has had somewhat of a revelation since then! A blend of fuses from the cutting-room electricity box, newly remastered starlines, and some fresh jamborees. All coming together to bring you a harmony of galaxian disco. Includes the new single from the album of the same name: “I Believe Me Now”. ...

Greg Houwer is a singer-songwriter whose style is firmly rooted in the pop/rock-tradition. He works with loving care from his home studio, where he assembles his songs, hovering somewhere between a state of peaceful tranquility and full blown exuberance. Roads Of Oblivion, a compilation of twelve songs recorded between 2002 and 2007, is a case in point expressing just that range of creativity.

Happy Elf is the name of multi instrumentalist Jeroen Elfferich's soloproject. He has released 8 albums since 1999. The music of Happy Elf can be labeled as electro, but actually it is much more than that: itÂs pop music made with analogue synthesizers. First Contact is a 4 track cd which gives you an idea of Happy ElfÂs music. The tracks are from the earlier albums Bright Normal Deep and Bingo in the Country. Our bio... We started recording as Fungky in september 2003. Then we had only a shabby deck ripped out of an old stereo, a p266 computer, sound blaster 16, bass guitar and an electric guitar. It took us two years to compile our first release. There are 19 tracks on it and it is a purely underground, mind twisting production. In september 2005 we started working seriously on our second release. We transformed Fungky to Kinetic Jane as it better spoke for the contents. By then we had a little...

Les Baudouins Morts existed between 1996 and 2000. They were a local cult band, with a strong following in the underground scene in and around the town of Leuven (Belgium). Their music, if that's what you want to call it, was just an excuse to promote radical leftwing protest, make sick jokes, criticize about everything and everyone walking the face of the planet and give everyone involved the opportunity to play his instrument to his own liking. The lyrics were always in Dutch, interlaced with...

“Today is Sunday is a musical voyage, a journey that took about 2 ½ years to produce in the last resort. If you are willing to travel, you can go on a 50-minutes trip throughout various epic soundscapes, maybe accompanied by the ghosts of Pink Floyd or Mike Oldfield. Possibly you pass ambient and beat-inseminated lounges at the top of a desperate mountain-top, where you have a short discourse with Air and Moby, probably it all ends up in a nearly perfect pop or folk song, where Dido and...

Summer had passed when poet Ruud Linssen and three musicians came together to see what they could do. In winter the quartet released their first album of music and poetry under the flag of Mellsch . These recordings were made at guitarist Marcel Jansen's retreat, an ancient farmhouse in the windswept marshlands of Waldfeucht on the German-Dutch border. There the work of Mellsch emerged over a long autumn weekend. Centuries-old shingles on the farmhouse roof rattled as Jansen, Linssen, Bego...

Nambavan lives in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. He began composing music on his first pc in 2000, got expelled from guitar lessons for not remembering the songs a few years later. Nowadays he works with his pc, a $80 guitar and a Casio keyboard. His musical diet consists of Blondie, the Sex Pistols, Cerrone, Sonic Youth, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, Madonna, Supermax, and the Bee Gees. This 4-track ep is the result.

Nambavan's first album without his vocal and electronic melodies, written down for after two weeks of experiments with analog noise, clicks, delays, highpass house filters and broken groove rhythms. You will feel, how music collapses in your head.

On this release Necronomikon Quartett concentrates on the more accessible side of the band with six tracks that have large proportions of structured material. If you have any idea were this music fits in please leave a message for the band, they would be happy to know what they sound like.

When the project NORWAY started in the city of Porvoo in the early 90's Rumpan Löök & Kukkiva Kunnas had used the Octamed - a popular sound tracker for the Commodore Amiga - for a few years already, at the time they were discussing a multimediaproject and somehow Norway and its fjords were selected.
